We really don't hear about relationships between two teenagers like the one that develops between Cole and Alex. However, this book does shed light on a real issue that may impact a number of teens. I enjoyed reading this book and appreciate how different the theme is from many other Young Adult books I've recently read.

I appreciate the fact that the author tackled a hard subject that often gets pushed under the rug. Nevertheless, the book was very predictable. After reading the first chapter, I could tell you what would happen to each of the characters by the end of the book. Jennifer Brown could have included more detail and twists to make the book more exciting.

Great insight into why women justify staying with an abusive man. I became frustrated with her reasons for staying, but could understand why she would think that way. He had control. A little too long for me and I had a hard time getting through it, but not a bad read.
